Learning to Wait

Deacon Lissa Nelson-Neal

This scripture resonates with me because I am in the season of waiting.  I am waiting and learning to silence my anxiety, babbling, and impatience.  I am learning to be still, and I am asking the Holy Spirit to help me to be silent and wait for the voice of God. He is the rock and my ultimate Fortress.  I know that if I am obedient to his will and I align my will with His will, my life’s purpose will be fulfilled.  I am in a season of waiting! I am waiting and wanting to fulfill God’s purpose.  If you find yourself waiting also, remember who God is and you too will be steady during this challenging season.

Let us pray:

Holy Spirit, guide me! Help me to silence my desire to speak more than to listen.  Help to demolish my own agenda and pursue God’s plan.  Help me to be silent, to be still and be connected to my Savior.  This I pray, in the name of my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.
